J. Reid Perry, Northwest Houston's Family Law and Divorce Attorney, received his calling to the practice of law through a life-changing event involving his son and only child, Austen. As a result of a physician's negligence, Austen was left blind. Rather than becoming bitter about Austen's plight, however, Reid determined to learn all that he could about the law, giving him the ability to protect his son's rights and interests as he continues on his journey through life. Reid takes this same approach with every one of his clients, acting as an advocate for each client as he navigates them through the legal system. Reid understands everyone deserves competent legal representation.
In the spirit of Reid's vision, he opened his own office as a solo practitioner in the Northwest Houston/Cypress area in May of 2003. Reid has focused his practice on Family Law, Divorce Law, Criminal Defense, Wills and Probate, and Civil Law for the past 7 years. Reid primary practices in Harris County, Montgomery County and Waller County, but will take cases in other jurisdiction when appropriate and in the best interest of the client.
Reid is determined to offer the services the community at large needs the most, especially concerning Family Law, Divorce Law, Criminal Defense, Wills and Probate, and Civil Law. Owing to his personal background and his years of experience in the healthcare area, Reid knows when to fight the good fight and when to employ alternative means to resolve issues, such as collaborative law and mediation. Reid's number-one priority is to serve the best interest of each and every client, involving them and keeping them informed at each step along the way.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Reid worked in Houston area hospitals as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT, RCP) for over 18 years, and provided his services in this capacity as both a patient care provider and in management, overseeing Respiratory Therapy, Hyperbaric Medicine, Laboratory and Pharmacy management. He acted as Safety Officer for a multi-campus hospital, successfully completing 4 JCAHO surveys without ever receiving a single negative recommendation. Due to this type of experience, routinely facing life and death struggles, Reid offers the type of temperament and experience you need when seeking a caring and compassionate attorney to represent your interests.
